Come for a mammogram and have your breasts examined!
06/10
October is the month of fighting breast cancer! That is why we encourage women from Białystok to take advantage of mammography tests, which can be performed on October 6 in a professional mammobus in our car park.
Mammography tests will take place from 10.00 to 18.00. It is worth signing up in advance by calling 42 254 64 17, choosing a convenient time and avoiding waiting in the queue.
Free mammography tests are available to women aged 50 to 69 who have not had a screening test in the last 2 years. Other ladies aged 40 to 49 or over 60 or those who have tested in the last 24 months will also be able to take advantage of the test, but it will cost PLN 100.
When reporting for the examination, the patient should have her ID card and the results of a previous breast examination, if any. This examination does not require any additional preparation. It is best to report in two-piece clothes so that you can easily undress from the waist up.
Mammography is an effective method of detecting breast cancer early. The sooner the disease is diagnosed, the greater the chances of a complete recovery! Therefore, it is not worth delaying this examination and taking care of your health in this way! Every lady who uses mammography as part of the campaign in front of our Shopping Centre will receive a cosmetic as a gift.
The examination will take less than a quarter of an hour and includes 4 projections (two for each breast). Radiologists from the Medica Medical Centre will perform them in the mammobus in front of our Shopping Centre.
The photos will be sent to the clinic, where a specialist doctor will prepare a description. The patient will receive information about the result by text message or e-mail. If an alarming change is detected, the patient will be sent a description by registered letter, referred for further tests and advice on what steps to take to start treatment.
The mammographic screening campaign takes place as part of „Łączy Nas Kobiecość”, campaign, which aims to popularize breast cancer prevention.
