Pass the book around

Reading books is not only a great way to spend time — it is also a journey that develops the imagination, enriches vocabulary and opens doors to fascinating cultures. These benefits are especially important for the youngest, which is why, with children in hospitals or care facilities in mind, where access to interesting reading material is often limited, we invite you to participate in the year-round charity collection ‘Cyrkuluj książeczko’ (Circulate the Book), organised in our shopping centre.

As part of the campaign, we are collecting books for children — fairy tales, poems, novels, school reading materials, albums and comics. All collected titles will go to selected children’s wards in hospitals, children’s homes, emergency care centres and primary schools, including special schools. Some of the books will also be added to the collections of public libraries so that even more children can discover the magic of literature.

How can you help? It’s easy! Just bring your books to our shopping centre and put them in a specially marked box in the gallery passage. They can be used books — it is important that they are in good condition and can continue to bring joy to young readers.

The initiative is being carried out jointly by Auchan Shopping Centres and the ‘Już Pomagam’ Foundation, and is under the patronage of Henryka Krzywonos-Strycharska.
